The name, and the schedule

It is a long descriptive domain and the business behind it is an ordinary removals company. Rather than let anybody work that out three clicks in, we say it at the top of the home page and again here.

Packing, storage, dismantling and international moves — all of which are removals work. Nothing digital, nothing to do with marketing, and no software of any kind.

No, and we would not offer to. If something online concerns you, the platform hosting it is the first port of call and a solicitor is the second.

Only in the sense that we will carry the box it is sitting in. For the mail itself, your email provider's tools or the preference services are the right route.

Because volume decides the vehicle, the vehicle decides the crew and the crew decides the day. Every other decision on the schedule is provisional until that number exists.

Provisionally, and we will label it as provisional. A firm figure follows a survey at the property or a proper video walk-through — including the loft, the garage and the shed.

Fuel, gas cylinders, fireworks, solvents, open paint, corrosives and ammunition. Nothing perishable and nothing alive; plants travel at your own risk. Money, documents, passports and medication should stay with you.

Use them, give them away, or arrange a licensed collection. Decided at survey there is time for all three; found on the morning they simply stay behind in an empty house.

Once the volume is known and well before the date, because materials are ordered against it and crew hours are booked against it. It is a decision with a supplier behind it rather than a preference.

Full packing quietly becomes whatever can be done in the time available, which is not the same service. We would rather tell you that than deliver it and call it the same thing.

As soon as both dates exist, even provisionally. A planned hold is a load built to be stored; an unplanned one is a vehicle outside a house nobody can get into.

Usually, and it is the expensive version of the same thing. The load will have been stacked for a journey rather than for a month, and anything you might need back will be behind everything else.

We do. What we need from you is the confirmed date early enough for the council's own notice period, which varies considerably between authorities.

Usually you or your landlord, because buildings deal with residents rather than contractors. We will work to whatever window is allocated and confirm it in writing.

Then it is a problem with options if it surfaces early and a crisis if it surfaces on the day. We ask about permissions as soon as a date is firm for exactly that reason.

Longer ones, and set by documents rather than by us. Permits, registrations and consular certification attach to you as a person and cannot be accelerated by a removals firm.

The load stays secured on the vehicle while the agreed fallback runs. That fallback is settled before the day, which is the entire point of the last decision on the schedule.

Almost everywhere in this trade, and it should be written into your quotation. A quotation silent on it is incomplete rather than cheaper.

Usually, and how easily depends on how much has already been committed. On a local job a change is straightforward; on a planned long-distance run with a crew and a vehicle committed it is not.

Tell us rather than hoping. A loft cleared the weekend before the move is the commonest reason a vehicle turns out to be the wrong size, and a phone call fixes it.

No, and no rate card appears anywhere on this site. The volume, the access and the decisions you make set the figure, and none of them is known before the survey.

We will move goods to a buyer, a charity or another address. We hold no waste carrier licence and do not dispose of anything, so a genuine clearance needs a second firm.

Both addresses, roughly what is going, and how firm the dates are. Everything else can be worked out; those three start the schedule.

Tell us as soon as you notice, in writing within the period the terms set out, and keep the item and its packaging so both can be examined. We would much rather settle something than argue about it.
